How $NOXO Uses the Staking System

$NOX is the reference implementation of the NOXCAT Staking System.

The NOXCAT ecosystem utilizes the staking system as the sole mechanism for ongoing $NOXO issuance, ensuring that all newly released tokens follow transparent, deterministic, and fully on-chain rules.

Current Emission Parameters

The current staking configuration for $NOX is as follows:

Daily Emission

The staking contract emits 100,000 $NOXO every day.

Rather than distributing rewards at fixed intervals, emissions are streamed continuously throughout the day.

This results in approximately:

  • 4,166.67 $NOXO per hour

  • 69.44 $NOXO per minute

  • 1.1574 $NOXO per second

Every second, the emitted tokens are allocated proportionally across all active stakers based on their share of the total staking pool.

Reward Distribution

Each participant earns rewards based on their percentage ownership of the total staked assets.

For example:

  • Total Staked: 10,000,000 $NOXO

  • Alice Staked: 100,000 $NOXO

  • Alice owns 1% of the staking pool.

Since the protocol emits 100,000 $NOXO per day, Alice receives approximately:

  • 1,000 $NOXO per day

  • 41.67 $NOXO per hour

  • 0.694 $NOXOper minute

If additional users join the staking pool, Alice's ownership percentage decreases naturally, and rewards automatically rebalance without requiring any manual intervention.

Fully On-Chain Issuance

All ongoing $NOXO emissions originate exclusively from the staking contract.

There are:

  • No manual reward distributions

  • No privileged reward recipients

  • No hidden emission schedules

  • No off-chain reward calculations

Every emitted token can be independently verified on-chain, providing complete transparency into the issuance process.

Flexible Participation

$NOX staking is intentionally designed without mandatory lock-up periods.

Participants may:

  • Stake at any time

  • Unstake at any time

  • Claim rewards whenever desired

This allows capital to remain liquid while still participating in network incentives.

Future Governance

The current emission rate of 100,000 $NOXO per day serves as the initial monetary policy of the ecosystem.

As governance becomes decentralized, $NOXO holders will be able to vote on changes such as:

  • Daily emission rates

  • Reward allocation mechanisms

  • Additional staking incentives

  • Long-term issuance schedules

This allows the protocol's monetary policy to evolve alongside ecosystem growth while remaining fully transparent and governed by the community.
