# Tokenomics

$NOX serves as the **core coordination layer** of the NOXCAT ecosystem, functioning beyond a conventional utility or speculative token. It is intentionally designed as a **governance, incentive, and control primitive** that aligns participants, capital, and protocol infrastructure into a unified execution environment.

Rather than merely representing value, $NOX defines **how value is created, distributed, and governed** across the network. It enables a system where influence is earned through participation, and where economic incentives are tightly coupled with protocol growth and sustainability.

Within the NOXCAT architecture, $NOX plays a central role in:

* **Coordinating decentralized decision-making**
* **Incentivizing ecosystem participation and liquidity**
* **Allocating resources toward long-term development**
* **Establishing a transparent and programmable governance framework**

Token Information

The fundamental parameters of the $NOX token are defined as follows:

* **Token Name:** NOXCAT Token
* **Symbol:** $NOX
* **Total Supply:** 10,000,000,000 (10 Billion)
* **Blockchain Network:** Arbitrum One
* **Contract Address:** `0xb23bB8c2C6Cb9169eeaC8f2Bd42fcf333A1a8C55`

The total supply is fixed and non-inflationary, ensuring predictable token economics and long-term scarcity. Deployment on Arbitrum One enables **low transaction costs, high throughput, and seamless integration** with the broader EVM ecosystem.

## Token Allocation

The allocation of $NOX is designed to prioritize **fair distribution, ecosystem sustainability, and long-term alignment** among all stakeholders.

### 1. Staking — 94%

The majority of the token supply is allocated to staking, forming the backbone of NOXCAT’s distribution model.

* **Purpose:** Reward active participants who contribute to ecosystem stability, liquidity, and network operations
* **Mechanism:** Tokens are distributed over time to users who engage in staking and related activities
* **Rationale:**
  * Encourages long-term participation rather than short-term speculation
  * Aligns incentives between users and protocol growth
  * Establishes a decentralized ownership structure

This approach ensures that $NOX is **earned through contribution**, rather than concentrated through early private allocations.

### 2. DAO Foundation — 5%

A portion of the supply is reserved for the DAO Foundation to support ongoing ecosystem development.

* **Custody:** Managed via a secure multi-signature wallet
* **Use Cases:**
  * Research and development (R\&D)
  * Ecosystem grants and developer incentives
  * Strategic partnerships and expansion initiatives

Over time, governance control of these funds will transition to the community through a decentralized governance framework, ensuring transparency and collective decision-making.

### 3. Initial Liquidity Pool — 1%

A small allocation is dedicated to establishing initial market liquidity.

* **Purpose:**
  * Enable trading on Arbitrum-based decentralized exchanges
  * Support efficient price discovery from the outset
* **Design Principle:**
  * Minimize artificial market distortion
  * Allow organic demand to shape token valuation

This allocation ensures that the market for $NOX begins in a **fair and accessible manner**, without excessive reliance on centralized liquidity provisioning.

## DAO System

To ensure that the evolution of $NOX remains aligned with ecosystem growth, NOXCAT will introduce a **decentralized governance system** powered by Snapshot.

This DAO framework enables token holders to actively participate in shaping the future of the protocol.

### Key Features

* **Proposal Creation:**\
  Any eligible $NOX holder will be able to submit governance proposals, covering protocol upgrades, treasury allocation, and strategic initiatives.
* **Voting Mechanism:**\
  Voting power will be determined by $NOX holdings and/or staking participation, ensuring that influence reflects commitment to the ecosystem.
* **Off-Chain Governance (Snapshot):**\
  Snapshot enables gasless voting, allowing for efficient and accessible participation without on-chain transaction costs.

### Governance Objectives

The DAO system is designed to:

* **Align incentives between users and protocol development**
* **Ensure transparent and decentralized decision-making**
* **Enable scalable coordination across a growing ecosystem**
* **Continuously refine token utility and economic design**

***

As the NOXCAT ecosystem evolves, the DAO will progressively assume greater control over protocol parameters, treasury management, and strategic direction—transforming $NOX into a **fully community-governed coordination layer**.
